Creativity as a Way of Self-Expression: Craft Depo Group Learning Mobility in Türkiye
In April 2024, a group of adult learners from Craft Depo participated in an educational visit to Istanbul, Türkiye, as part of the European Union's Erasmus+ programme, Adult Education sector.
Project number: 2023-1-EE01-KA121-ADU-000140168.
The theme of the group mobility was “Creativity as a Way of Self-Expression.” The learning activities were organised in cooperation with the hosting organisation Highlights in Istanbul.
The educational programme focused on developing adult learners' creative abilities, acquiring new practical skills, and exploring cultural traditions through arts and crafts.
During the training, participants expanded their knowledge of traditional artistic techniques and their application in contemporary design, learned new ways of creative self-expression, and gained experience working with different materials and techniques.
Special attention was given to the role of creativity in adult education, building self-confidence, independence, communication skills, and the ability to express personal ideas. The international learning environment also contributed to the development of intercultural communication, language skills, and an appreciation of cultural diversity.
The knowledge and practical experience gained provided participants with new opportunities for further creative development, independent learning, and applying new ideas in their own activities.
