How can we make educational materials not only useful but also clear, engaging and visually appealing? How can we present creative workshops, share information about our projects and attract new participants? For Craft Depo, where adult education is closely connected with creativity, these questions are particularly important.

To explore modern tools for visual communication, one of our educators travelled to Gdynia, Poland, for a training course.

In August 2025, our educator attended the five-day course “Graphic Design: Tools & Techniques,” organised by Kostiuk..

The training took place within the European Union's Erasmus+ programme, Adult Education sector.

Project number: 2025-1-EE01-KA121-ADU-000328467.

Mobility type: Individual staff mobility  "Courses and Training".

During the course, our educator developed skills in modern graphic design tools, learned to create visual materials for educational and promotional purposes, and explored the traditions of the Polish Poster School.

For Craft Depo, the practical application of these skills in adult education is particularly valuable. Modern graphic design helps us create clear and engaging learning materials, visualise complex processes and creative techniques, and develop presentations and digital resources for workshops.

Equally important is the opportunity to present our educational programmes, projects and events more effectively - from designing social media posts and posters to creating a consistent visual style for our communication materials. This will help make adult learning opportunities more visible and accessible to residents of Narva.

Another important aspect of this mobility was the opportunity to organise the journey in an environmentally friendly way. This approach reflects Craft Depo's commitment to incorporating sustainability principles not only into our educational activities but also into international learning mobility.

We plan to apply the knowledge gained both in developing new educational materials and improving the centre's visual communication. This is another step towards making creative adult education more modern, accessible and visually engaging.

The training was financially supported by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme.
