It's gloomy and gray outside again, so let's brighten up this dull mood!

The kaleidoscope was invented more than two hundred years ago, and to this day, it continues to amaze and delight both children and adults with an endless array of magical, unique patterns created by colorful glass pieces reflecting within its internal mirror structure.

On Sunday, March 16, at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, you have a unique opportunity to create your own kaleidoscope, filling it with colorful elements to match your taste and mood.

It will take about an hour to assemble a classic kaleidoscope from various materials, including wood, plastic, paper, cardboard, glass and mirror. Special attention will be given to the reuse of materials: some elements and materials that might otherwise become waste will be given a new purpose in the kaleidoscope. Through this practical activity, participants will see how used materials can be reused and transformed into a new functional object. Decorative paper with various designs will also be used to finish the outer surface of the kaleidoscope.

The participation fee is only €15. We provide everything you need on-site, but if you’d like, you can bring a few of your own glass or plastic beads to add inside your kaleidoscope along with our colorful glass pieces.

Children aged 10 and older can work independently.
